Phonics and FUN for Young Learners
This beginner class is designed to introduce young learners (ages 4 and 5) to the foundational skills of reading and writing.
The focus is on phonics — helping children recognize and understand letter sounds and how they blend together to form words.
In this class, children will:
- Learn Letter Sounds: Through fun activities, songs, and games, students will begin to recognize the sounds that each letter makes.
- Develop Word Recognition: They'll start identifying simple, phonetically regular words and gain confidence in reading short sentences.
- Engage in Fun Writing Activities: Students will practice writing letters and simple words, gradually building the fine motor skills needed for writing.
- Interactive Play: The class uses playful learning techniques, such as interactive games, colorful flashcards, and animated stories, to keep young learners engaged.
- Build Confidence: With a focus on positive reinforcement and lots of praise, kids will gain confidence in their reading and writing abilities.

Through a well-established reading and writing program that integrates both phonics and the 'Look and Say' approach, along with take-home reading books, children are offered a structured and comprehensive learning experience. By the end of the year, the children are able to read and write 3-4 letter words independently. |
